The Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) in Hyderabad is undergoing a major expansion, with the project anticipated to be fully operational by the close of 2026. This expansion will introduce 2,000 new beds to the existing 1,639, boosting the hospital's total capacity to 3,639 beds.
This extensive development spans 19.54 acres and covers over 26 lakh square feet, with an investment of ₹1,698 crore. The new NIMS campus will comprise four 13-floor blocks dedicated to outpatient services, inpatient departments, and emergency care, creating an integrated super-speciality healthcare complex.
Civil construction is advancing rapidly, with eight of the main hospital building's thirteen floors already completed. The emergency block's construction is also progressing, aiming to integrate seamlessly with the main facilities.
