Nicole Eggert, known for her role on Baywatch, has openly showcased the scars from her ongoing cancer journey. In August 2025, the 54-year-old actress underwent a mastectomy and reconstruction following her stage two cribriform carcinoma breast cancer diagnosis announced in 2024. She also elected to have a full hysterectomy to mitigate the risk of the cancer spreading.

Eggert shared a photo on Instagram, lifting her shirt to display abdominal scars from the hysterectomy. The actress described her diagnosis as a moment of feeling profoundly alone, but she found solace and strength by focusing on her body. She also detailed the difficult conversations she had with her daughters about her health.

Previously, Eggert endured eight months of chemotherapy and radiation. She shaved her head in March 2024 with her youngest daughter's help. The actress emphasized the importance of facing life's challenges with courage and surrendering to the process.
