Newlywed Influencer Undergoes Lumpectomy, Faces Ongoing Cancer Treatment

On August 15, 2025, fashion influencer Bridget Bahl, 41, shared a new update on her ongoing battle with breast cancer. Bahl was diagnosed with the disease not long after her lavish wedding to Texas-based plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Chiodo in New York City.

This past week, Bahl went into the hospital for a lumpectomy, a surgical procedure to remove a cancerous lump. She plans to follow up the surgery with radiation, immunotherapy, and potentially more chemotherapy. Bahl's husband, Michael, provided an update shortly after the procedure, stating that the surgery went smoothly and that Bahl is experiencing no pain in her breast, though she is feeling some discomfort in the area where lymph nodes were removed.

In a subsequent post, Bahl expressed gratitude for her husband's support and the wider community that has rallied around her during this challenging time. "I feel so overwhelmed thinking about how hard this would all be without him and without you," she wrote. Bahl also urged her over 1 million followers to stay vigilant with their breast exams, as her own cancer was detected during a routine check.

Bahl's cancer journey began last year when she was in the midst of fertility treatment. A routine sonogram and blood work led her doctor to discover the disease, which had also spread to a lymph node. Since then, Bahl has undergone chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation to treat the cancer.
