New AYUSH Hospital Coming to Pathanamthitta

The State government is set to establish a new 30-bed AYUSH-Integrated Hospital in Nannuvakkad, Pathanamthitta. The project, with a total estimated cost of Rs 10.50 crore, will feature a built-up area of 14,700 square feet. Of the total budget, Rs 10 crore is designated for building construction, while Rs 50 lakh is allocated for medical equipment.
Health Minister Veena George will lay the foundation stone for the facility during a ceremony on Tuesday, organized as part of the Arogyam Anandam Pathanamthitta Fest. This event will also mark the district-level launch of the Healthy Keralam and Web 4 Wellness campaigns, which focus on addressing the rise of lifestyle diseases.
The new hospital is designed to be a modern facility providing comprehensive care across various AYUSH disciplines, including Ayurveda. The infrastructure will include separate general wards for men and women, pay ward rooms, and a dedicated Panchakarma theatre. To ensure high-quality diagnostic and treatment services, the building will house advanced consultation rooms, laboratory and X-ray units, a pharmacy, a nursing station, and spacious waiting areas. Construction for the new hospital is expected to begin in April 2026.
