Since May 21, Elliot has been undergoing dialysis four to five times a week at Manchester Children's Hospital. The transplant and subsequent recovery will require him to isolate for two weeks, impacting his schooling and social life, particularly as he looks forward to secondary school. His mother expressed the heartbreak of hearing him question why he can't be a 'normal child'.
Following their recovery, the family, including Elliot's sister Ava, plans to take their first major holiday abroad, specifically to Turkey. A GoFundMe page has been established to help fund this trip, aiming for £2,200 to allow Elliot to enjoy activities like swimming without worry. The page has so far raised £300.
