The district administration has successfully enrolled around 4.25 lakh residents under the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana, a key initiative launched on January 22 this year. This flagship health program aims to provide comprehensive cashless medical cover of up to ₹10 lakh per family. Officials are actively working to increase registrations to ensure all eligible households benefit from this vital scheme.
The registration process has been streamlined for ease of access, allowing residents to enroll instantly at any Common Service Centre or designated camp. Required documents include Aadhaar card and voter ID, with no prior appointments needed. To further accelerate the enrollment drive, 76 camps are scheduled across Ludhiana starting this week, facilitating on-the-spot registrations.
Grassroots efforts are also underway, with ASHA workers conducting door-to-door campaigns, especially in rural areas, to raise awareness and ensure last-mile coverage. Beneficiaries can access treatment at over 800 empanelled hospitals, including government and private facilities, for more than 2,500 medical procedures. The coverage extends to pre- and post-hospitalization expenses, as well as follow-up care.
