Coke Only: Mounjaro Patient's Christmas Meal Nightmare

A Mounjaro user, Frankie Stone, reported that the weight loss injection "ruined" her Christmas last year, as she could only consume a can of Coca-Cola instead of enjoying traditional festive foods. At her heaviest, Frankie weighed 21 stone and wore a size 22 before starting the injections in December 2024. Despite this unusual experience, she persevered with the treatment and has since lost four stone, now weighing 16 stone and fitting into a size 16.

Frankie, who suffers from PCOS which made natural weight loss difficult, found the jabs effective but acknowledged their impact on her holiday. She recounted being unable to eat her Christmas dinner or enjoy her mother's prepared snacks, craving only a soft drink. Later, a week-long break from the injections during a holiday to Turkey in September 2025 resulted in distressing side effects including anxiety and sleeplessness, prompting her to resume the treatment.

Despite the reduced enjoyment of festive meals, Frankie has chosen to continue Mounjaro this December, as the side effects of stopping the medication were more severe than her diminished appetite. She has recently launched her own cleaning business and shares her experiences on TikTok, aiming to stay positive about her significant weight loss.
