Morrisons Paves Way for Male Incontinence Support Bins
20 May
Summary
- Morrisons now provides male incontinence facilities in all stores.
- This initiative supports men, especially prostate cancer survivors.
- The move aims to help men rejoin everyday activities confidently.

Morrisons has taken a significant step to enhance inclusivity by installing facilities for male incontinence across all its UK stores. This initiative is designed to bolster the confidence and dignity of men, particularly those who have undergone life-saving prostate cancer treatment.
As the first supermarket to meet The Bog Standard guidelines in every branch, Morrisons aims to rectify the absence of male sanitary bins. Research indicates that over a third of men have stopped grocery shopping due to this lack of facilities, impacting their ability to participate in everyday life.
David Scott, Corporate Affairs Director at Morrisons, expressed pride in leading the sector and called for UK Government support to change HSE guidance. Matthew Brabin, CEO of PHS Group, highlighted the development of these bins in consultation with Prostate Cancer UK supporters, thanking Morrisons for their pioneering effort.
This move follows Morrisons' earlier introductions of stoma-friendly facilities in March 2026 and Sensory Support Boxes in 2025. The company also promotes NHS messaging on cancer symptom spotting on its own-brand products.
