Michael Bolton has been publicly sharing his journey as he battles glioblastoma, an aggressive and incurable form of brain cancer. He first revealed his diagnosis to fans in 2023.
His daughter shared that unusual signs emerged prior to his diagnosis, including falling out of a chair and repeatedly bowling out of turn during an outing. These seemingly minor incidents were later recognized as precursors to his condition.
Bolton experienced a severe headache that led him to seek medical attention, where an MRI revealed a brain tumor. He underwent emergency surgery to completely remove the tumor, a procedure noted as rare, followed by another surgery in December 2024 to address an infection.
Currently, Bolton undergoes MRIs every two months to monitor for any recurrence. He has opted not to know his prognosis, focusing instead on the fight itself and offering support to others facing similar challenges by reminding them they are not alone.
