A new mental health urgent care clinic, the Minto Greenberg Urgent Care Clinic, is set to open its doors to the public on Monday, September 22, 2026. This facility represents a first-of-its-kind service in eastern Ontario, dedicated to assisting adults who are experiencing a mental health crisis and require immediate support but do not need emergency department intervention.
The clinic will provide comprehensive services, including psychiatric assessments, crisis counseling, medication recommendations, and assistance with navigating available resources. The establishment of this clinic was made possible by a transformational $2.5 million donation from The Minto Greenberg Legacy Foundation, alongside contributions from The Royal's "Lives Reclaimed" fundraiser. Services are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., accepting walk-ins and referrals.
