- The event aims to foster understanding of women's symptoms.
- It is scheduled for October 17th in Hull's Princes Quay.
Partners of women navigating menopause are being offered a unique opportunity to understand the symptoms firsthand at an upcoming support event in Hull. Health group Over The Bloody Moon will present its MenoVest, a device designed to simulate the sensation of a hot flush.
This initiative, part of the Menopaus'ull Support Network, seeks to provide men with a tangible experience of what women go through. Sarah Weichardt, a co-manager of the project, emphasized the vest's ability to replicate not just the physical heat but also the associated emotional distress, such as panic and anxiety.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Princes Quay shopping centre on October 17th, running from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM BST. Organizers hope that by experiencing these symptoms, more people will gain a better understanding of the menopausal journey.
