- Another hospital reported patient's condition worsening from expired medicines.

A serious incident involving the death of an eight-month pregnant woman, allegedly due to medical negligence, has triggered a swift response from Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. He has mandated a thorough investigation and strict action against those found responsible for the tragedy.
The pregnant patient from East Godavari was undergoing treatment at Kakinada Government General Hospital. Despite her medical records indicating diabetes, hypertension, and an allergy to Pantoprazole, a postgraduate student reportedly administered the medication on November 20. This allegedly led to fits and cardiac arrest, ultimately causing her death.
Further compounding concerns, a separate incident at Rajamahendravaram Government Hospital saw a 55-year-old patient's health deteriorate after allegedly being given expired medicines. The Chief Minister has also directed officials to provide support to the family of the deceased pregnant woman.
