Measles Alert: Traveller Sparks Sydney Health Warning

An urgent health alert has been issued for western Greater Sydney following the return of an overseas traveller infected with measles. The traveller visited Thailand, a region currently experiencing a measles outbreak.
NSW Health has identified specific locations and times where the public may have been exposed. These include Priceline Pharmacy St Clair on January 14 from 3-4pm, and the emergency department of Nepean Hospital from January 16, 7:50pm to January 17, 7:40pm.
Individuals who visited these sites are advised to watch for measles symptoms, such as fever, runny nose, sore eyes, and a rash, for up to 18 days after exposure. They should contact a doctor before visiting if symptoms appear.
