An international traveler with a confirmed case of measles visited Disneyland and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) between January 26 and 28, 2026. Orange County Health Care Agency warned that visitors to Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and LAX's Tom Bradley International Terminal may have been exposed.
Individuals who were at these locations during the specified dates are advised to check their immunity status and monitor for symptoms, as measles can develop 7 to 21 days after exposure. California has reported three measles cases this year, contributing to a national resurgence.
Nationwide, measles cases are on the rise, with South Carolina reporting a significant outbreak of 847 cases since October 2025. This surge includes 558 cases in 2026 alone, leading to quarantines and hospitalizations. Measles is a highly contagious viral illness preventable by vaccination.
