Massachusetts health officials are actively searching for individuals who may have been exposed to measles. A person diagnosed with the virus recently visited Boston and Westboro, traveling between December 11 and December 12. This situation has prompted the Department of Public Health (DPH) to release details of the individual's itinerary.
The infected person arrived in Boston on American Airlines flight 2384 from Dallas, staying at a Westboro hotel. The following day, the individual departed from Logan Airport on JetBlue flight 117 to Las Vegas. Anyone who was at these locations during the specified times is urged to contact their doctor and DPH.
Public Health Commissioner Dr. Robbie Goldstein highlighted the national increase in measles cases, with nearly 2,000 reported nationwide in 2025, a concerning rise since the disease was once considered eliminated. He emphasized the critical importance and safety of vaccines in preventing the spread of such highly contagious illnesses.
