Manitoba has identified recent measles exposure sites, including the emergency department waiting room and the emergency department itself at Winnipeg's Health Sciences Centre Children's Hospital. These exposures occurred on Saturday, February 21, 2026. Earlier, on February 19, 2026, an exposure also took place at the Access Event Centre in Morden.
Provincial health officials are advising individuals who were present at these locations during the specified times to verify their measles vaccination records. Those not immunized who may have been exposed are eligible for preventative treatment if sought within six days of exposure and should speak with a healthcare provider.
This February marks the highest monthly number of measles cases in Manitoba since the outbreak began over a year ago. As of February 14, 2026, the province had recorded 82 confirmed and eight probable cases.
