Summary
- A man ran 52 half marathons throughout 2025 for MND.
- He raised over £2,000 for the MND Association.
- His wife Tina was diagnosed with MND two years ago.

Anthony Cox, from Gloucester, has concluded an extraordinary year of running, completing 52 half marathons throughout 2025. He dedicated each Sunday run to raising funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, a cause deeply personal after his wife Tina was diagnosed with the condition two years ago.
Cox, a full-time carer, has successfully raised more than £2,000 for the charity. He shared that crossing the finish line, seeing his wife's face and friends cheering, evoked a "range of emotions." Despite challenges, including running while unwell, he persevered, drawing strength from the resilience of those with MND.
The community's support was significant, with many turning out on Sunday mornings. Members of his running club, Hucclecote Harriers, including Jane Thorton, praised his inspirational efforts. Mrs. Cox, affected by MND in her muscles and speech, offered her husband's efforts a simple "good."
