The recall specifically targets Lundberg Family Farms White Rice Jasmine sold in 32-ounce bags. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has classified this as a Class II recall, indicating that exposure to the rice may cause temporary or medically reversible health problems, with serious health consequences considered remote. Consumers are strongly advised not to consume the recalled rice.
Packages with best-before dates in February 2027 are included in this recall. Consumers who find the affected rice at home should dispose of it. Those who purchased the rice from Wegmans can return it for a full refund, while other retailers' refund policies may vary.
