Summary
- Nearly 4.9 lakh children under five will receive polio drops.
- 632 polio booths and 438 sub-booths established across Ludhiana.
- Over 1,500 house-to-house teams deployed for extensive coverage.

The National Pulse Polio campaign in Ludhiana is scheduled to administer vital polio drops to an estimated 4.9 lakh children under the age of five. This extensive immunization drive will take place from June 28 to July 2, aiming for complete coverage.
To facilitate the campaign, health officials have established 632 polio booths and 438 sub-booths throughout the district. Supplementing these fixed points, 1,535 house-to-house teams, 80 transit teams, and 98 mobile teams have been deployed. These mobile units will reach children in urban, rural, and remote areas, ensuring no one is left behind.
Supervisory oversight will be provided by 506 supervisors who will monitor the field operations. The campaign begins with booth-based immunisation on June 28, followed by intensive door-to-door follow-ups to vaccinate any children who missed the initial phase. The drive will run for three days in rural areas and five days in urban and peri-urban regions. Parents are urged to ensure all eligible children receive their polio drops to sustain India's polio-free status.
