Ludhiana Polio Drive: 1 Lakh Kids Vaccinated!

In Ludhiana, the National Pulse Polio immunisation campaign successfully vaccinated over one lakh children below the age of five on Sunday. The initiative kicked off at the civil hospital, with health officials administering the crucial oral polio vaccine to more than 1,01,571 children across district booths on the campaign's opening day.

Health authorities stressed their commitment to ensuring universal vaccination for all children under five, regardless of prior immunisation status. Following the initial booth-based vaccinations, health teams are set to embark on intensive door-to-door visits across rural, urban, and peri-urban areas. This phase aims to reach any eligible child missed on Sunday, ensuring complete coverage and reinforcing Ludhiana's polio-free status.
