Steve Clapton, the head of immunization and screening at NHS Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board, warned that the UK could be facing a "particularly difficult flu season" this year. He strongly urged Lincolnshire residents to get vaccinated before the worst of winter sets in.
The NHS reported that GP practices and community pharmacies in the county had already administered over 225,000 flu vaccinations since the start of October. However, there are still many eligible people who have not yet come forward to receive the jab. Health officials are now making a concerted effort to encourage all those who qualify to get protected against the flu virus.
