- Despite concerns, residents felt safe and home was rated "good" for caring.

Redcote House Care Home in Lincoln has been placed in special measures after receiving an "inadequate" rating from the Care Quality Commission. The inspection, conducted in January, revealed deficiencies in safety and leadership.
Inspectors noted concerns with risk management, care plans, medication administration, and infection control protocols. The report indicated that safety measures were not always effective, and medicines were not managed securely. Staff were sometimes rushed, impacting their ability to spend quality time with residents.
The commission previously cited two breaches of legal regulations related to safe care and good governance. The recent inspection found that the provider had failed to make necessary improvements, remaining in breach of these regulations. Bhandal Care Group, the owner of Redcote House, has been contacted for a statement.
