This action follows complaints that the business was once again making unverified medical claims about baldness cures, attracting numerous concerned customers.
Last year, this same salon faced significant backlash and regulatory action after an off-site treatment camp in Sangrur resulted in 60 participants suffering severe eye infections and adverse reactions from the purported baldness remedies. The business previously had its operations suspended 18 months ago for similar practices.
During the recent operation, inspectors seized products for laboratory testing. The salon operator has been instructed to halt all treatments and sales until the results are available. Police are awaiting chemical analysis of the seized products to determine further legal action, as the salon had previously built an interstate clientele across Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh.
