Kerala is significantly expanding its family health center network, with 87 additional Primary Health Centres (PHCs) set to be upgraded into Family Health Centres (FHCs) under the Aardram Mission. This expansion builds upon the 750 PHCs already transformed, enhancing physical infrastructure and human resources.
The newly designated FHCs will offer patient-friendly outpatient clinics operating from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. They are equipped with comprehensive facilities, including private examination rooms, waiting areas, pharmacies, and laboratories, designed to be accessible for women, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities.
