- A KSU protest caused injuries to the minister's neck and hand.
- Doctors are managing her pain and high blood pressure with medication.

Kerala's Health Minister, Veena George, remains under continuous monitoring in the intensive care unit at Kannur Government Medical College Hospital. A 13-member medical board convened to assess her condition following a neck injury sustained on Wednesday. The injury occurred during a protest by Kerala Students Union activists at the Kannur railway station.
According to a medical bulletin, the minister is experiencing severe radicular pain that radiates to her right arm and the back of her head. MRI findings indicate pressure on cervical nerve roots at two locations in her neck as the cause. While she has obtained partial relief from ongoing treatment and her blood pressure is controlled, travel is not advisable, and the board resolved to continue her ICU care.
Initially examined at the Kannur district hospital, her evaluation included her neck injury, pain, swelling, and weakness in her right hand. She was subsequently transferred to the medical college hospital's ICU for further evaluation and treatment in accordance with established pain management protocols.
