The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has alerted businesses and consumers to return affected products, which include various Jolly Rancher candies and gummies. The Hershey Company, the manufacturer, has ceased supplying the UK market. However, its products are still being imported, prompting the FSA to advise food businesses to stop sales and initiate recalls.
While exposure levels are likely low, concerns remain for younger children who might consume larger quantities. Enforcement authorities are contacting businesses to ensure compliance and product withdrawal. Consumers with the recalled sweets at home are instructed to dispose of them and notify their local Trading Standards or environmental health department.
