26 Nov, 2025
Summary
- Jeni's ice cream bars recalled for undeclared wheat and soy.
- FDA issued Class II risk warning days before Thanksgiving.
- No illnesses reported, but risk to allergic consumers remains.

Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams LLC has voluntarily recalled its Passion Fruit Dreamsicle Ice Cream Bars due to the undeclared presence of wheat and soy allergens. This recall, initiated on November 17, received a Class II risk classification from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on November 24, just before the Thanksgiving holiday.
The undeclared allergens entered the product when a crunch topping containing wheat and soy was accidentally mixed into the ice cream bar batch during manufacturing. The FDA highlighted that individuals with severe sensitivities to wheat or soy face a risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions, ranging from mild symptoms to anaphylaxis.
Despite the recall, no illnesses have been reported to date. Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams stated that no other flavors or products are affected. Consumers who purchased the recalled ice cream bars are advised not to consume them and to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. The recall remains ongoing.
