Jaylene Álvarez, who was the second runner-up in the 2021 Miss Universe Puerto Rico pageant, announced on January 21, 2026, that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. The 33-year-old beauty queen shared her health update on social media, framing her diagnosis not as a predetermined outcome but as a catalyst for profound personal growth and a reawakening.
