Doctors warned that such high infection levels could lead to life-threatening complications like sepsis, where the body's systems begin to fail.
Upon diagnosis, she was identified as having terminal ileitis, an inflammatory condition affecting a part of the intestine. Bhasin was hospitalized for three days and has since returned to India to continue her treatment and undergo further investigations to determine the cause of her illness.
