Veteran weather presenter Janice Dean is departing her role on "Fox & Friends" after more than two decades with the network. Dean announced her exit via a video on X, citing escalating symptoms of her long-term battle with multiple sclerosis (MS).
She explained that while she has managed MS for over twenty years, recent increases in stress and a lack of sleep have worsened her condition. Dean's doctors advised her to step away from the demanding broadcast schedule, which includes waking up at 2:30 AM daily.
Multiple sclerosis is a chronic autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system. Symptoms can vary widely but may include vision problems, fatigue, mobility issues, and cognitive difficulties. There is currently no cure for MS. Dean thanked her supporters for their encouragement throughout her challenging journey.
