Anița was first diagnosed with synovial sarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer, at 16. She bravely shared her experiences online, inspiring many.
Despite extensive treatments, including surgery and a leg amputation, the cancer spread. In a testament to public support, an online appeal raised £1.7 million in just eight days for experimental treatment in the US.
Sadly, Anița succumbed to the disease and a subsequent infection on March 3, passing away in hospital.
Her mother, Veronica, shared a heartfelt tribute, noting that Anița was finally at peace and no longer suffering.
