Significant healthcare infrastructure projects have been approved, including five maternity and health clinics in Paktia, Khost, and Paktika provinces, alongside a 30-bed hospital in Kabul. Since the new visa module launched in April 2025, India has issued over 500 visas, with more than 200 designated for medical treatment, reflecting a commitment to accessible healthcare.
India's substantial medical aid includes 327 tonnes of medicines and vaccines dispatched over the last four years. Upcoming support involves sending cancer medicines and a CT scan machine, with proposals for radiotherapy equipment and further supplies under active consideration. India also plans to organize medical camps and train Afghan doctors.
