Husband Saw Doctor 24 Times Before Cancer Diagnosis

Liv Williams recounted the harrowing year her family endured as her husband, Nigel, suffered from worsening pain and other symptoms. Despite numerous medical visits, Nigel was repeatedly sent away with medication for pain or indigestion, with an MRI scan also yielding no answers. By July, his condition had deteriorated significantly, with unexplained weight loss and severe pain that required crutches and left him struggling to eat. A pivotal moment came when Liv insisted on a blood test, which, along with an ambulance-bound ER visit, eventually led to a diagnosis of advanced, widespread cancer. Nigel died on February 9, 2024, at age 61, just 12 days after his terminal cancer diagnosis. Liv now advocates for early detection methods like a clinical trial for a breath test, hoping to prevent other families from similar tragedies.
