Summary
- Health Canada recalls 7 baby loungers due to safety concerns
- Products sold on Amazon, Walmart, AliExpress, Wayfair, and more
- Risks include strangulation, choking, entrapment, and falling
In a move to protect infant safety, Health Canada has recently recalled seven baby loungers that were being sold on various online marketplaces. The recall, announced on August 21, 2025, comes after the department identified "continued incidents and concerns" with these products.
According to the announcement, the recalled items include loungers from brands such as BChic, Chicure, FFQRLP, HAPDEN, Housbay, La Millou, Style Life Eleven, Zoomie Kids, and Vevor. These products were available for purchase on popular e-commerce platforms like Amazon, Walmart, AliExpress, Wayfair, and Vevor.
Health Canada has stated that the recalled loungers do not meet the country's safety regulations and pose several hazards to infants, including strangulation, choking, entrapment, and falling. The department emphasized that the safest place for a baby to sleep is on their back, alone in a crib, cradle, or bassinet that complies with current Canadian safety standards.
As part of its ongoing evaluation program, Health Canada continues to monitor the market and identify any other products that may pose a risk to infant safety. The agency has urged parents and caregivers to immediately stop using the recalled loungers and to contact the manufacturers for further instructions.
