Haryana to Track Every Pregnant Woman Digitally
30 Aug
Summary
- A new portal will digitally track pregnant women from registration to post-partum.
- High-risk pregnancies will be identified early for timely hospital referrals.
- A command centre will monitor maternal and child health data across Haryana.
The Haryana government is implementing a new digital system, the SAMRIDDHI portal, to monitor every pregnant woman throughout her journey. This initiative aims to bring all pregnancies, whether in government or private facilities, onto a unified digital platform.
Each pregnant woman will receive a unique SAMRIDDHI ID, ensuring comprehensive tracking from initial registration to post-partum care. High-risk pregnancies will be identified proactively, facilitating prompt referrals to appropriate medical facilities.
The portal will be supported by a state-level SAMRIDDHI Command Centre and a 102 Maternal and Child Health Call Centre. This command centre will continuously monitor maternal and child health data, alerts, and follow-ups across Haryana.
This digital system aligns with Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission standards and will link birth registrations to the SAMRIDDHI ID, extending monitoring to newborns. Key objectives include reducing maternal and neonatal mortality and ensuring 100% pregnancy registration and institutional deliveries.
