The nation's public health ecosystem is evolving with a focus on holistic healthcare, moving from a curative model to a comprehensive framework encompassing preventive, promotive, curative, and palliative aspects. Digital health initiatives are playing a crucial role in this transformation.
Haryana has significantly boosted its healthcare provisions, with its health budget surging by 298% from ₹2,646 crore in 2014 to ₹10,500 crore in 2025-26. This substantial increase supports the expansion of medical education, with the number of medical colleges rising from six to 17, and MBBS seats increasing from 700 to 2,710. Furthermore, 1,479 health facilities have achieved National Quality Assurance Standards.
Digital platforms are enhancing healthcare delivery and accessibility. The e-Sanjeevani initiative facilitates over 2,200 daily tele-consultations, connecting rural patients with specialists. Vaccination and supply chain management are now end-to-end digitized through U-WIN and eVIN. Institutional deliveries have reached 98.80%, contributing to reduced maternal and infant mortality rates, while full immunization coverage stands at an impressive 105%.
