Haryana Boosts AYUSH: 1771 Health Camps Held

Haryana's Health Minister, Arti Singh Rao, highlighted the growing importance of AYUSH systems in managing chronic diseases. As part of this focus, the state recently conducted a large-scale health campaign.
This campaign included approximately 1,771 health camps across Haryana, providing free medical check-ups and consultations to over 10,900 people. The government is actively working to enhance healthcare infrastructure, aiming to deliver quality medical education and health awareness, with a particular emphasis on rural and remote populations.
Haryana has established several key AYUSH facilities, including four major Ayurvedic hospitals, one Unani hospital, and one Homoeopathic hospital. Furthermore, AYUSH services have been extended to the primary level with six Ayurvedic Primary Health Centres and numerous dispensaries operating throughout the state.
Under the National AYUSH Mission, 21 AYUSH wings in district hospitals, 102 IPDs in community health centres, and 106 OPDs in primary health centres are operational. These services are predominantly situated in underserved areas, increasing healthcare accessibility. Additionally, the state is advancing AYUSH medical education through Shri Krishna AYUSH University, Kurukshetra, alongside several Ayurvedic colleges.
