Haryana Boosts Health: Rs. 97 Cr Medicine & New Tech Procured

The Haryana government is making a substantial investment to upgrade its public health infrastructure, ensuring residents have access to quality medicines and modern diagnostic facilities. A key approval includes the procurement of 117 essential and critical medicines totaling Rs. 97 crore through the Haryana Medical Services Corporation Limited.

These essential medicines, including injectables, antibiotics, and cardiovascular drugs, will be available without interruption in government health institutions. The focus remains on quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery to patients.

To enhance diagnostic capabilities, PGIMS Rohtak will receive a fully automated ID-NAT system for blood banks, costing approximately Rs. 2.40 crore. A Digital Radiography System with Fluoroscopy, valued at Rs. 2.20 crore, has also been approved for the hospital.

Furthermore, district-level eye-care services will be strengthened with the procurement of 22 Optical Coherence Tonometers for civil hospitals across Haryana, estimated at Rs. 6.62 crore. The state is also acquiring 19 Fully Automated Blood Culture Systems for Rs. 2.06 crore to improve the detection of bloodstream infections.

These extensive procurement approvals demonstrate the state government's commitment to providing accessible, patient-centric healthcare and bolstering the overall public health system.
