7 Mar
Summary
- The Hollies surgery in Hadleigh, Essex, will reopen in March.
- It closed in October after the resident doctor's suspension.
- The practice will operate under a new name, Rectory Road Surgery.

The Hollies GP surgery, located in Hadleigh, Essex, is scheduled to resume services by the end of March under a new identity as Rectory Road Surgery. This facility has been closed since October 31st, following the suspension of its resident doctor by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Dr. Olusegun Olatokunbo Omosini's registration was suspended due to concerns over safe medicine management and governance. The closure affected 12,800 registered patients, who have since been provided with alternative appointment options, including remote consultations. Efforts to reopen the surgery have progressed following the resolution of building lease disputes.
NHS Mid and South Essex confirmed that registered patients will be informed about the reopening arrangements. Final legal and safety checks are being completed before services can be restored. Local Member of Parliament, Rebecca Harris, expressed her commitment to ensuring the swift restoration of full GP services in the area.
