Gurgaon is slated to receive a substantial upgrade to its healthcare facilities within this financial year, with plans to establish eight new sub-health centres (SHCs) and three primary health centres (PHCs). This expansion includes the upcoming PHCs in Ransika, Reethoj, and Sidharwali villages.
Further enhancing medical services, the Daulatabad and Wazirabad PHCs are designated for an upgrade to community health centres (CHCs), promising better specialist care and modern equipment. The government's commitment to rural healthcare is also evident in the proposal for a new PHC in Baghanki and an SHC in Ghamroj village.
These initiatives are a key part of the Haryana government's strategy to bolster healthcare infrastructure in Gurgaon, a district experiencing rapid urbanization and population growth. The minister stressed the importance of timely completion and quality for all ongoing projects.
Among the recently inaugurated projects are a block public health unit in Helimandi, valued at approximately Rs 50 lakh, and new SHC buildings in Chandu, Noorgarh, and Mahchana villages, costing over Rs 89 lakh, Rs 81 lakh, and Rs 64 lakh respectively. These efforts underscore a commitment to making modern, quality healthcare accessible at the local level, despite the district's current lack of advanced tertiary care facilities.
