The Government Multi-Speciality Hospital, Sector 16 (GMSH-16) has reported a significant positive response to its newly introduced evening Outpatient Department (OPD) facility. Launched on February 24 as a pilot project, the evening OPD has witnessed a consistent rise in patient numbers, with 395 individuals utilizing the service within its initial six days.
This initiative, currently operational in Medicine, Surgery, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, and Gynaecology departments, aims to alleviate pressure on the hospital's peak morning hours and emergency services. The Medicine department alone has served approximately 30% of the evening OPD patients, indicating its high demand and utility.
