On November 23, 2025, a comprehensive free medical camp was held at the Annai Velankanni Church premises, offering vital health services to the community. The event, a joint effort by the Shakespeare Millennium Club and the Annai Velankanni Church (Society of St. Vincent De Paul), saw more than 150 men, women, and children benefit from free screenings.
Attendees received thorough health evaluations, including checks for heart rate, blood pressure, blood sugar, and hemoglobin levels, along with thyroid testing. Medical professionals from Srushti Hospitals, Aramba, Kumaran Dental Clinic, Lychee, and Satya Physiotherapy Centre volunteered their expertise. Esteemed individuals like Rev. Fr. E. Arulappa and V. Selvaraj, IAS (retd.) graced the occasion, underscoring the community's support for health initiatives.
The camp, which ran from 9 am to 6 pm, successfully provided diagnoses and health screenings, reinforcing the importance of preventative care. This collaborative effort highlights a strong commitment to public health, ensuring that essential medical check-ups are accessible to those in need and contributing to a healthier community overall.
