In Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh, a health camp organized under the Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA) successfully provided comprehensive maternal care. Over 300 pregnant women attended the event at the government hospital, receiving free antenatal checkups, essential tests including sonography, and medical advice.
The camp, held on a Monday, is part of a twice-monthly initiative occurring on the 9th and 25th of each month. These sessions focus on identifying high-risk pregnancies through checks like blood pressure, urine, hemoglobin, and blood sugar tests.
Educational sessions also emphasized the importance of antenatal checkups, mental health during pregnancy, and institutional deliveries. Information on available support services and helplines was shared, reinforcing the commitment to maternal and child safety and aiming to reduce mortality rates.
