Chelsea Freeman, wife of MLB star Freddie Freeman, recently experienced a severe health emergency. She described waking up in the middle of the night with sharp chest and back pain, initially believing she was having a heart attack. The situation was particularly alarming as her husband was away on tour with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Freeman promptly called 911 and received medical attention. Doctors noted her troponin levels were elevated, leading to a series of cardiac evaluations, including a heart CT scan, chest X-rays, and an echocardiogram. She has since consulted with a cardiologist.

The cardiologist's current assessment points towards pericarditis or myocarditis as possible diagnoses. To further assess her heart's condition, Freeman is scheduled for another echocardiogram next week. She has expressed gratitude for the medical professionals and family who supported her during this frightening episode.
