Purepower Nutrition is initiating a recall for specific batches of its Chicken & Chorizo Paella and Chicken Chow Mein products sold in Northern Ireland. The recall is a precautionary measure following the discovery that Chicken & Chorizo Paella was mispacked with Chicken Chow Mein, which contains milk not declared on the label. This undeclared ingredient presents a significant health risk to consumers with milk allergies or intolerances.
The affected products are all 400g packs of Chicken & Chorizo Paella with a use-by date up to January 17, 2026, and Chicken Chow Mein with a use-by date up to January 15, 2026. These items have been withdrawn from sale across Northern Ireland. Point-of-sale notices have been issued to inform customers about the recall and the reasons behind it.
Consumers who have purchased the affected products are urged not to consume them and to return them to the store of purchase for a full refund.
