A group of friends have embarked on a 30-mile "punishing walk" dressed as flamingos to honor the memory of their late friend, Laura Plane. Plane, who passed away in 2017 at the age of 37, dedicated her final years to campaigning for the youth breast cancer charity CoppaFeel!. She had already raised £80,000 for charity before her death.
The "Great Flamingo South West Coast Path Stomp" on Saturday saw more than 50 women participating in the event. This walk is part of a series of legacy events organized by Plane's friends since her passing. These events, which have included sponsored space hops, half marathons, and bike rides, aim to continue Plane's message and support her fight against breast cancer.
