In a remarkable display of camaraderie, firefighters from Tweedale fire station in Telford completed a grueling 24-hour fundraising challenge on the Wrekin. Staff took turns ascending the 407m hill hourly, some even wearing full breathing apparatus, to raise vital funds for their colleague, Tyler Davies.
Davies is currently undergoing treatment for an aggressive form of cancer. The money raised, estimated at £5,000 from this specific event, will contribute towards advanced medical treatments and making his home more comfortable. Station manager Dave Joyner expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support from the fire service and the wider community.
