The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has put forward Dr. Sanjay Tiwari for the role of chairperson of the National Dental Commission. Dr. Tiwari brings an impressive background of over 35 years in dental education. His recommendation was formalized in an order issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on February 4, 2026.
Currently serving as the principal of the Post Graduate Institute of Dental Sciences in Rohtak, Haryana, for the past twenty years, Dr. Tiwari is a recognized specialist in endodontic microsurgery. He has contributed significantly to dental research, authoring more than 80 papers. His academic journey includes training at King's College London as a Commonwealth fellow.
