Motorcycle Riders Combat Ebola Misinformation

Motorcycle taxi drivers recently engaged in an awareness campaign across eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, aiming to combat misinformation about Ebola. The riders traveled through Bunia and Rwampara in Ituri province, an area significantly impacted by the current outbreak. They wore distinctive white T-shirts and carried banners displaying crucial prevention advice.

This initiative was organized with support from the World Health Organization. WHO officials participated in the campaign, helping to disseminate public health messages and address persistent skepticism within the community regarding the Ebola disease. The effort sought to encourage a more serious approach to the outbreak.
