The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) alerted consumers that ingestion of plastic by dogs can lead to serious health issues, including vomiting, loss of appetite, lethargy, and potential intestinal obstruction.
The specific recalled product is the 16-ounce chub of BeefiBowls Beef Recipe, identified by UPC code 072705135004 and lot number "Best By 12/25/2026 B01." This product was distributed to neighborhood pet stores in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, California, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Arkansas, Texas, Wisconsin, Illinois, and the province of Ontario, Canada.
The company stated that the recall was prompted by customer complaints and that corrective actions are being implemented to prevent future occurrences. No other Fromm products are affected. Pet owners who have purchased the recalled food are advised to cease use immediately and return the product to the place of purchase.
